Camping In Applegate Valley In Southern Oregon

CAMPING
Several campgrounds are located around the lake, including
Hart-Tish, Watkins, French Gulch and Carberry.
Enjoy a nice picnic in the woods, the Forest has barrier-free
sites to enjoy! The Rogue River-Siskiyou has established
campgrounds located throughout the Forest.
If you prefer more solitude or want to explore the
backcountry, most of the Forest is open for dispersed or
backcountry camping. |

Some
regulations apply:
Typically, dispersed camping is NOT allowed in the vicinity of
developed recreation areas such as campgrounds, picnic areas
or trailheads.
In some wildernesses, campsites (and horse highlines) must not
be located adjacent to lakes and streams.
Wild Rogue Wilderness straddling the lower
Rogue River and the Red Buttes Wilderness in the rugged
headwaters of the Applegate River.
